Projects we are currently involved in...

  • Triple S Project

In September this year we began a 2 year project for Sandwell Education Authorities, delivering Street Dance Classes to schools in Sandwell, as part of a government funded intiative. We are visiting some of the most underpriveledged schools in Sandwell for 5 weeks at a time, giving those children who wouldnt normally get a chance to take part in Dance an opportunity to experience it. After each 5 week block the schools come together in a sharing session to show each other there work and to take part in a masterclass. The great thing about Triple S is that we are re-inforcing the aims of the art council, to get more people taking part in the arts and giving youngsters creative opportunity! Also, by choosing to deliver a dance form they can relate too and have a valid interest in already we are getting many more boys dancing than normal, one of our aims as a company.

  • Youtheatre

We are forming a new youtheatre to put on a Musical production each year, where our aim is that everyone involved in all aspects of the production, from being onstage to all the backstage elements of production will be young people of the midlands. More details on this years production can be found on the next page.

  • Musicals For Schools

We are always looking to revive our musicals for school workshop, an excellent tool for GCSE students to get a taster of what F.E courses may involve, popular choices within the schools have been Grease, Saturday Night Fever and West Side Story.

  • Fosa

In December we will begin running an adult dance class for a 'Friends Of School Association' run by one of the primary schools we visit. Parents, staff and supporters of the school attend different activities at the school on an evening. We are offering them a taster of a wide range of dance styles and classes in maintaining general fitness.

  • New Horizons
